introducing lisette for butterick B6561

It's that time again! Time to unveil our new Spring-Summer 2018 Lisette collection for Butterick patterns. I'm super excited to share my favorite piece from this collection today—Lisette B6561. This design was something I had been mulling over for quite some time before I finally committed to creating it. I’m thrilled that we managed to pack two distinct styles into one pattern envelope, giving you plenty of creative freedom. Let’s dive into View A first—the blue lace top. The moment I imagined this design, I knew lace was the perfect material for it. It features an empire yoke with full gathered body and sleeves, which gives it a lovely, flowy look. The back neck has a simple button-loop closure, making it both stylish and practical. Honestly, it’s a beauty and surprisingly easy to sew. I’ll soon share a version I made for myself. ![Blue Lace Top](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/381d11da2089b980a842e42ee490b25f.jpg) But if there’s one design that truly stole my heart, it’s View B. The fabric choice here is absolutely stunning! With its French darts and adorable tie sleeves, it’s just the kind of piece that makes you feel effortlessly chic. ![Tie Sleeve Top](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/19530f6edccb9094a9b5711547bc554c.jpg) If you're looking for fabric and styling inspiration, don't worry—I’ve done the legwork for you. For View A, the blue lace top, there are so many ways to customize it based on your personal style. Whether you’re going for a classic feminine touch with lace or a more modern, Parisian-inspired look, this pattern offers endless possibilities. If you're feeling adventurous, consider playing around with ribbons to add a bohemian flair. Renaissance Ribbons has some exquisite ribbon options that would pair beautifully with this design. Adding a few beads, like in the photo below, could also elevate the piece. ![Fabric Inspiration for View A](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/e3662a36f2586b5041b08f3d11f44640.jpg) For those of you leaning toward View B, the focus is undoubtedly on the sleeves. You could experiment with lace for the full ruffled sleeve, or perhaps opt for a border print along the sleeve hem. The pintucks on the pink version shown below are especially eye-catching, aren’t they? While silk satin feels like the ideal fabric for this style, it also works beautifully with other flowing materials. ![Fabric Inspiration for View B](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/284a8125771ab8cb59a6c207e5d28a50.jpg) For even more ideas, check out my Lisette for Butterick B6561 Pinterest board.
