2015 in review: new lisette patterns

Today, I want to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic Lisette for Butterick sewing patterns from 2015. It was quite a year for these patterns, with a total of eight stunning designs released! Can you recall them all? Let's dive into each one and refresh our memories. To start off the year, we saw four fresh Lisette patterns emerge in the spring. These included the B6168 fit-and-flare dress, B6183 cropped trousers and princess seam top, B6182 A-line skirt and boxy top, and the B6169 moto jacket and drapey dress. Each pattern came with its own set of fabric and style inspiration posts, making it easier for sewists to envision their projects. Liesl, the mastermind behind these patterns, hosted several sew-alongs last year. One of the most popular was the B6169 Moto Jacket sew-along. This jacket quickly became a favorite among sewists, and it's no surprise why! Its edgy design and versatility have made it a go-to choice for many. Here are a few amazing versions from different sewists: - Lisa showcased her version in a striking black leather, adding a touch of sophistication. - Joanne went for a bold blue and red combination, giving her jacket a vibrant personality. - Nicole opted for a classic camel color, creating a timeless piece that works perfectly with both casual and formal outfits. The drapey dress paired with the moto jacket also received a lot of attention. Lori's modified version is particularly noteworthy, offering a unique take on the original design. Moving on to the summer, Liesl continued to inspire with another popular pattern, the B6168 fit-and-flare dress. Joanne once again proved her affinity for Lisette patterns by sewing herself this elegant dress. As we entered the fall season, two new patterns emerged. First, the B6260 pattern brought a modern twist to classic outerwear, while the B6244 coat became an instant hit. The sew-along for the B6244 coat is available here, and it's inspiring to see how diverse the finished products turned out to be. Some even experimented with sleeveless versions! - Lori created a chic navy coat that exudes elegance. - Eryn went for a more playful approach with her bright pink version. - Adrienne chose a sophisticated neutral palette, perfect for everyday wear. - Margo's coat features a beautiful floral print, adding a touch of femininity. - Jen's version highlights a bold stripe pattern, making it stand out. Finally, the winter brought two more exciting releases: the B6296 pattern and the B6295 pattern. Liesl shared her creations on the blog, including her lovely Liberty pajamas and faux leather leggings, which are both stylish and practical. If you're planning your wardrobe for this year, consider revisiting these patterns. They might just fill in the gaps you've been looking to address. Which Lisette patterns will you tackle this year? Be sure to share your completed projects in the SewLisette Flickr group and tag them with #sewlisette and #butterick on Instagram. In case you need even more inspiration, here's a mid-year round-up of Lisette patterns we shared earlier. Happy sewing, and may your creative journey be as fulfilling as ever!
