my favorite oliver + s pattern: mire aka melukyla

Sure! Here's a rewritten version of the content: --- Hi everyone! My name is Mire, and I’m a mom to two wonderful girls. Sewing has been a part of my life for over two decades, and I love making most of my daughters' clothes myself. About three and a half years ago, I decided to give Oliver + S patterns a try. I purchased the Hopscotch pattern first, and it instantly became a favorite. Since then, I've collected 38 different Oliver + S patterns and have sewn each one at least once. Choosing a favorite among these patterns isn't easy, but if I had to pick, it would be the Hide-and-Seek Dress. There’s something about its versatility that makes it stand out. For instance, my first attempt at this pattern resulted in a beautiful linen dress. It wasn’t too complicated to put together, and the dress featured handy details like pockets, which both my girls loved. Plus, it’s perfect for layering during cooler weather, adding an extra touch of practicality. Speaking of my girls, they adore the Hide-and-Seek Dress because it fits loosely, allowing them to move freely—essential for playtime and climbing trees. My younger daughter enjoys tunics more than dresses, so I’ve also created several Hide-and-Seek tunics for her using stretchy knits. One particularly memorable tunic was made for my niece; she picked out the fabric, and I crafted it for her. Recently, I’ve been working on another Hide-and-Seek dress in preparation for summer. This time, I used pink chambray fabric, which happens to be an old bedsheet of mine. It’s a fun project, and I can already picture how adorable it will look on my daughter. Looking ahead, I’m excited to experiment further with this pattern. I recently bought some lilac linen fabric and plan to add some embroidery to the yoke—a detail that I think will make the dress even more special. Sewing has always been a creative outlet for me, and patterns like the Hide-and-Seek Dress keep inspiring me to try new things. Thank you so much for letting me share my passion with you today. If you're curious about the origins of this beloved pattern, check out Liesl’s post from March 2014 introducing the Hide-and-Seek Dress—it’s fascinating to learn how it all began! And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a few more sewing projects lined up. Until next time! --- This version adds some personal touches while maintaining the original message and structure. Let me know if you'd like any further adjustments!
